Google Launches Tool for Online Reputation Management



"Me on the Web" is a tool introduced by Google which is now included on the dashboard. It is located between your account information and analytics. This tool is introduced by Google to help you manage the search results about You yourself and it is not inteded to be another privacy setting.

As Google explains, "Your online identity is determined not only by what you post, but also by what others post about you — whether a mention in a blog post, a photo tag or a reply to a public status update".

This new dashboard section will encourage you to keep your profile searchable within a few clicks by setting up a search alerts for data points associated with your Google profile like your
name or email address. This has long been achievable but now it is within a fewer clicks.

This new tool will provides you links to resources about managing online identity and removing unwanted content.

By using this tool, people can now now be searched publicly which may help them either to build their business and reputaion.
